The Heat is on!

Sophie is officially in heat! In about a week we will breed her to Koda, and puppies will be here before you know it! Just in case anyone is wondering why a week later.... dogs are actually ready to breed when they are at the end of their heat, this is when they are ovulating. Ovulation usually takes place between the 7th and 10th day from when the heat starts. Then once bred, gestation is only 63 days! Since Sophie just came into heat, we will most likely be having puppies the first week in May. I'll keep you posted!
